The moment I saw a google link to a "news?" story titled "Pray for Paris" yesterday evening, my Nfumbe (a spirit of the dead every Palo priest or priestess pacts with) whispered "Sandy Hook". I clicked on the link and this was the first thing I saw. "How creative... and.... well designed.....". those where my EXACT thoughts. I could not and I cannot shake the feeling that this "symbol" for an entire event which will likely stand as the defining icon for this tragic occurrence was conceived of in a matter of minutes, or maybe an hour... only to go "viral".  I don't believe this at all. This symbol looks polished, designed, worked on, multi-layered and most importantly... per-fabricated to express an event, NOT as a reaction to one. I think, no I believe, that symbol, which is being touted on www.today.com as " appearing" today , and not yesterday (it appeared yesterday) was created WEEKS ago ...
